Operations Supervisor, Lead

Supervises shore excursion and guest services staff in a seasonal hospitality environment. Provides frontline guidance, training, operational support, safety compliance, customer service assistance, and driver safety program administration. Answers routine operational questions, supports service audits, and ensures policies, regulations, and health and safety standards are followed.

Our Lead Operations position is ideal for a service-driven leader who thrives in a dynamic hospitality and tourism environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence, team development, safety compliance, and outstanding customer service by providing guidance, training, and support to frontline staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervises a shore excursion services team and the guest services activities.
- Responsible for assisting in the administration of shore excursion services activities and operations.
- Assists with administering the local driver safety training program in the Spring with safety and service audit support during the operating season.
- Routinely applies knowledge of operations, Company products, and customer services to assist staff with routine questions.
- Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, objectives, and applicable government laws and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in the use of computer business applications.
- A current valid driver's license, with a clean driving record, is required.
- A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required, but available pending candidate qualifications.
- A minimum age of 21 is required for CDL.
- If in the CDL program, must be certified as physically qualified through a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen. You will become a part of our random drug test pool.
- CDL certification may be obtained through the company training course.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
