Ameriprise is seeking a highly skilled Operations Specialist for our Cost Basis team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine reporting and analysis contributing to recommendations for cost basis and tax, along with assisting in small to medium projects within cost basis.
  • Provide analysis within existing reporting models, while recommending minor adjustments.
  • Make recommendations based on reporting and analysis that best meet client, regulatory or business objectives.
  • Develop solutions for routine and less complex problems for cost basis and tax reporting.
  • Trouble shoot, resolve problems or issues, while contributing to define solutions in a Lean environment.
  • Assist in the training of current and new team members.
  • Assist the team in processing, when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in Service or Operations
  • Excellent documentation, attention to detail and prioritization skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with Access/database applications
  • Strong analytical, quantitative & problem solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis
  • Strong knowledge of business operations and processes in more than two areas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on recommendations and analysis results, and establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization
  • Ability to initiate and implement process improvements

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $53,400-$72,000/year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
