Job Description:

Pacific Life is seeking talented Operations Quality Assurance Analysts to join our Consumer Markets Division in Omaha, NE or Charlotte, NC.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and quality of life insurance inforce processing activities. You will conduct detailed transaction audits, identify trends and root causes, and provide actionable insights that improve operational performance, reduce risk, and strengthen service quality across the organization.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Perform detailed quality audits of life insurance inforce transactions, including financial, disbursement, policy change, and title change activity  
  • Evaluate transaction processing for adherence to established procedures, controls, regulatory requirements, and service standards  
  • Document audit findings and classify defect types, root causes, and emerging risk patterns  
  • Partner with operations leaders, trainers, and associates to clarify expectations and support corrective action planning  
  • Analyze audit results to identify trends, themes, and opportunities for operational improvement  
  • Contribute to reporting and insight development that informs leadership decision-making  
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, efficiency, and consistency  
  • Participate in calibration sessions to ensure audit accuracy, consistency, and alignment across reviewers

  • Consistently apply sound judgment and accountability when evaluating transaction quality and process adherence  
  • Identify meaningful trends and root causes that drive operational insights  
  • Deliver timely, accurate, objective, and actionable audit findings through accurate and clear documentation and communication 
  • Build strong partnerships with operations stakeholders to support quality improvement  
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence  

What You Bring 

  • 1–4 years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, compliance, transaction processing, insurance operations, financial operations, or operational risk/control environments  
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to identify patterns and root causes  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy  
  • Ability to interpret and apply procedures consistently while exercising sound judgment  
  • Strong communication and partnership skills with ability to provide constructive feedback  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment  
  • Demonstrated adaptability and learning agility  

What Will Make You Stand Out 

  • Experience in insurance, financial services, banking, healthcare claims, or other regulated operational environments  
  • Prior quality assurance, audit, compliance, or controls experience  
  • Knowledge of insurance operations or life insurance servicing  
  • Experience supporting process improvement or operational excellence initiatives

Position Level & Compensation 

This role may be filled at either the Analyst I or Analyst II level based on qualifications and experience. 

Compensation by Level: 

  • Analyst I:  Omaha: $26.30 – $32.15 per hour/Charlotte: $27.20 - $33.85 per hour
  • Analyst II: Omaha: $31.88 – $38.97 per hour/ Charlotte: $33.58 - $41.00 per hour

Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Most employees are also eligible for additional incentive compensation.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
