The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of GoodLeap's Virtual Power Plant (VPP) programs, ensuring optimal performance, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role coordinates across engineering, grid services, marketing, and customer support teams to manage programs that drive GoodLeap’s VPP goals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage real time and day-to-day operations of VPP assets to include program management and performance optimization.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Regulatory, and Customer Support team to enhance platform functionality and customer experience.
  • Serve as operational voice in product roadmap discussions for VPP tools, data, pipelines and alerts.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, process refinement, and data insights.
  • Identify operations risk and lead root cause analysis for any underperformance or anomalies.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience required
  • Energy market operations experience
  • Experience in VPP/DER integration, SCADA/grid software tools
  • Performance analytics
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge
  • Operations excellence and attention to detail
  • Clear, confident communication across technical and non-technical terms
  • Strategic thinking with a bias for execution
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in working with large datasets and performance metrics

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000/annually
