Operating as a strategic partner to Enterprise Account Directors (EADs), Sales leadership, and cross functional teams, the Operations Manager ensures that enterprise account strategy, execution, insight, and communication aligns to Xylem’s growth priorities. This is a critical role with enterprise wide influence, accountability for outcomes, and significant impact on revenue expansion, and customer lifetime value.
Core Responsibilities
Enterprise Account Strategy & Governance
The Operations Manager owns the enterprise account operating system.
• Define, implement, and continuously evolve the enterprise account management framework, including governance cadence, account strategy standards, RACI models, and execution rituals.
• Establish and enforce enterprise account planning discipline, ensuring consistency, rigor, and quality across Tier 1 accounts globally.
• Partner with VP, Enterprise Solutions and Enterprise Sales leadership to align enterprise account priorities with Xylem’s growth strategy and resource investments.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to Enterprise Account Directors on account structure, complexity management, and multi year growth planning.
Goal Deployment Management, performance analytics & insights
This role shifts from reporting to insight ownership and decision enablement.
• Own the Enterprise Account KPI architecture, including Goal Deployment Planning, value creation, and lifecycle health metrics.
• Design and govern enterprise level dashboards and performance reviews in partnership with Commercial Excellence, Finance, IT, and segment leadership.
• Translate data into executive level insights and recommendations that influence decisions on investment, pursuit prioritization, and customer strategy.
• Lead new enterprise account assessments and validation processes, ensuring data driven entry and ongoing qualification.
CRM, Data & Enterprise Infrastructure
The Operations Manager is accountable for data as a strategic asset.
• Establish enterprise standards for CRM account structure, data integrity, and governance across master and regional accounts.
• Own enterprise account data quality, taxonomy, and milestone tracking to ensure accuracy, visibility, and scalability.
• Partner with IT and Commercial Excellence to optimize CRM and BI tools for enterprise use cases.
• Support the design and development for business intelligence reporting across enterprise accounts.
• Ensure enterprise account insights are embedded into core commercial processes, not managed as side systems.
Content, Communication & Enterprise Enablement
This role ensures Xylem speaks to enterprise accounts with one voice.
• Set the strategy for enterprise account content, messaging, and enablement in collaboration with segments, vertical marketing, and commercial excellence.
• Oversee development of executive ready materials, account narratives, and enterprise playbooks that support C suite engagement.
• Lead internal enterprise communications, including enterprise HUB content, best practice sharing, and success stories.
• Function as the central point of orchestration for enterprise account related initiatives and campaigns.
Cross Functional Engagement, Alignment & Influence
Success is driven through influence, alignment, and orchestration.
• Serve as the primary enterprise account integrator across segments, Finance, IT, Marketing and Commercial Excellence.
• Resolve competing priorities between regional execution and enterprise strategy in partnership with senior leadership.
• Build strong working relationships with segment and functional leaders to accelerate enterprise deal execution and value realization.
• Lead, support, and develop program analytics, or operations resources supporting enterprise accounts (direct or matrixed).
Success Metrics
• Enterprise account revenue growth enablement and solution attach improvement.
• Adoption and quality of enterprise account plans and governance
• Executive satisfaction and decision velocity driven by enterprise insights.
• CRM and enterprise data accuracy, usability, and consistency
• Cross brand and cross segment enterprise deal effectiveness
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Strategy, Analytics, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 5-8+ years of experience in enterprise sales operations, account management and strategy, program leadership, or commercial analytics.
• Ability to influence key stakeholders and leadership without direct authority.
• Advanced expertise in program management, relationship mapping, CRM platform utilization and evolution, BI reporting, and enterprise performance management.
• Proven ability to turn data into strategic insight and business action.
Key Competencies
• Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Microsoft’s product ecosystem, including AI platforms, enabling effective use of productivity, and intelligent automation tools.
• Collaborative alignment builder who brings together cross‑functional stakeholders to drive shared outcomes
• Effectively guides teams and individuals through change management, driving adoption of new processes and tools
• Proven ability to manage through complexity, navigating multi‑stakeholder situations with sound judgment.
• Strong execution under pressure consistently delivering results within tight timelines.
The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
