Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Operations leader to lead a newly combined Consumer Lending Operations Bankruptcy function.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the Bankruptcy Operations team in delivering service excellence while aligning with business management priorities, including financial planning, workforce strategy, and enterprise initiatives.
- Manage all aspects of bankruptcy servicing including intake, payment processing, legal coordination, and customer communications. Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Control partners to maintain a robust control environment and proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Develop and lead a team of managers and specialists. Promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Support talent development and succession planning.
- Drive process optimization, automation, and digitization efforts in partnership with Shared Services and Technology teams to enhance servicing efficiency and customer experience.
- Represent Bankruptcy Operations in regulatory exams, audits, and internal reviews. Ensure timely responses and implementation of corrective actions.
- Partner with Default Servicing, Collections, Customer Contact Centers, and Business Management teams to ensure cohesive operational delivery and strategic alignment
- 8+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- 10+ years of experience in operations leadership within financial services, preferably in consumer lending or default servicing.
- 6+ year direct leadership and management of large consumer lending, default servicing teams and organizations.
- Strong consumer lending or default servicing strategic programs experience, driving large transformation and operational solutions.
- Deep understanding of bankruptcy laws, servicing regulations, and operational best practices.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex operations.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with regulatory engagement and risk/control frameworks.
- Ability to Travel up to 20% of the time
