Job Description:
This job is responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the research and execution of complex transactions for a single site/business unit or smaller business unit(s). Key responsibilities include strategically advising upon the design, development, and implementation of products, systems, and services using discretion within the project management methodologies.

LOB Description:

This position works in close association with members of the operations and deal teams, adding value to the proper loan booking and ensuring client satisfaction. Participates in the resolution of escalated issues and operational problems, leveraging resources across other Credit Services and GCIB functional areas (Portfolio Management, Agency Management, Monitoring & Compliance, and others) to ensure an integrated approach to loan servicing.  

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert, frequently consulted on the execution of complex loan structuring arrangements
  • Develops and delivers training for new hires; provides up-training and serves as a proficiency coach to operations team
  • Performs daily quality review process for syndicated loan booking (pre- and post-closing)
  • Ensures risk and controls are followed as documented in procedure
  • Exercises discretion and professional judgment in determining appropriate loan structuring having significant client, regulatory, and reputation implications and risk
  • Participate in key committee assignments and offer subject matter expertise

Required Skills:

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications and loan accounting platforms and systems (LoanIQ, CreditCenter, etc.)
  • Deep working knowledge of commercial lending, experience with complex credit agreements and structures, including syndications
  • Applies critical thinking to analyze, identify and deal with legal, business, reputation, and operational risk
  • Finance, accounting or math background or applicable experience
  • Strong ability to influence, negotiate and lead diverse groups to achieve desired results, especially in dealing with escalations
  • Highly organized self-starter, attentive to detail with strong time management skills and ability to balance competing priorities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of GCB (Global Corporate Band)/GIB (Global Investment Bank) environment, organizational alignment, strategic priorities
  • Attorney prepared legal document experience including complex legal contract review and analysis
  • Strives to challenge the status quo and bring new ideas to teams to drive innovation and unique solutions to better serve an evolving client base
  • Strong written communication skills including communications and procedures
