About This Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Operations and Financial Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge day-to-day operational support with core accounting functions, including project accounting, accounts payable, and financial reporting support. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capability to collaborate across finance, operations, and project teams to ensure accurate data, smooth workflows, and timely information that supports sound business decisions and continued company growth.


What you'll do

  • Serve as a key point financial contact between operations, project teams, people operations, and the finance department to keep information flowing accurately and on time.
  • Support CCO with the financial status of current projects
  • Assist with monthly financial close activities, including account reconciliations.
  • Project review with CCO, make sure that transactions in Epicor are recorded on time
  • Support review of project cost allocations and help ensure expenses are recorded accurately in Epicor Kinetic.
  • Help monitor the Work-in-Progress (WIP) process and flag discrepancies for review.
  • Assist in preparing financial data summaries for internal reporting and leadership review.
  • Manage supplier onboarding, approvals, and recordkeeping.
  • Monitor inventory activity and assist with inventory-related financial reporting and adjustments.
  • Review payment proposals for accuracy and route for approval.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Sales taxes return preparation: Monthly, quarterly and Annually for the following states: Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Missouri, California, Nevada, Colorado, Tennessee, Iowa, Utah and Kentucky
  • Serve as a departmental resource for Epicor Kinetic data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain data integrity across operational and financial modules within Epicor Kinetic.
  • Assist in generating reports and dashboards to support both operations and accounting stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows between operations and accounting functions.
  • Review payroll files for accuracy and relay discrepancies to the Payroll Specialist for correction.
  • Perform other operations and accounting duties as assigned.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an operations, accounting, or project support role, preferably in construction, engineering, or professional services.
  • Hands-on experience with Epicor Kinetic or another ERP system strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms, electronic payment processing, and procurement workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Epicor Kinetic modules related to project accounting, procurement, and inventory.
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable, expense management, and basic financial reporting concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with WIP reporting and project-based accounting a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across operations, finance, and project teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with a collaborative approach.

Physical requirements and work environment

  • Primarily office-based with standard working conditions.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional requirement to collaborate onsite with operations or project teams.

  • PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when visiting field locations (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).
  • Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.
