What this job involves:

Develop your engineering career at JLL!

The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. You will work as part of an engineering team of 3 at a supporting facility maintenance at a community in Indian Land, SC.


Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday


What your day-to-day will look like:

·         Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by any licensing requirements)

·         Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any service requests

·         Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks

·         Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)

·         Troubleshoot all building systems

·         Comply with all safety procedures

·         Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

·         Other projects and tasks to be assigned

Required Qualifications:

·         2+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry

·         Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable

·         Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)

·         Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)

·         Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

·         Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall

·         Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive

·         Strong customer service skills
