ServiceNow is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join as an Ontology & Content Governance Specialist. In this critical role, you will help safeguard the integrity of our data and content foundation by applying governance rules that ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability across the go-to-market ecosystem. You will partner with Campaign Managers, Content Strategists, and Operations teams to keep reporting accurate, activations successful, and content systems trusted and usable.
You will need to be precise, analytical, and comfortable working with categories, tags, and fields across multiple platforms. You will validate changes, monitor compliance with governance standards, and support workflows that ensure data and content scale without disruption.
By applying and maintaining these standards, you will help create the trusted data foundation that powers accurate reporting today and AI-enabled efficiency in the future.

What you get to do in this role
- Apply governance rules to metadata and taxonomies across the go-to-market stack, including planning, budgeting, content, activation, CRM, and analytics, so data stays accurate and consistent
- Review incoming requests to add or modify metadata tags, fields, and values, ensuring changes follow standards and align across systems
- Validate taxonomy use to ensure processes and automations run smoothly end-to-end
- Support reporting accuracy by checking that taxonomies connect properly across systems for rollups and reconciliations
- Manage content lifecycle tasks like reuse, refresh, and retire workflows, so the Marketing Content Library and related repositories remain current and usable
- Provide day-to-day guidance to campaign, content, and operations teams on applying standards in their work
- Collaborate with peers and governance leads to escalate issues, resolve inconsistencies, and improve taxonomy processes over time
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have
- 4 years of experience in marketing operations, content management, data entry/quality, or a related internship or role
- Experience reviewing and applying categories, tags, or fields in systems, with a focus on keeping updates consistent across tools
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to check work carefully and spot errors or inconsistencies
- Curiosity and an AI-native mindset: eager to learn how clean, organized data powers automation, reporting, and smarter ways of working
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
