- Supervise, hire and train administrative staff, manage schedules, and ensure office policies and procedures are followed.
- Reviews and approves timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the clerical team’s performance through regular feedback and evaluations. Administer progressive discipline in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Reviews the physicians' schedules to ensure appointments are scheduled properly, schedules are opened/closed accordingly, clinic templating is accurately handled, and clinician vacation schedules are managed.
- Performs PSS and PCC clerical activities as needed.
- Ensures cleaning and maintenance of the clinic space occurs regularly and as needed.
- Manages telephone, electronic mail, facsimile services and patient flow.
- Verifies patient eligibility before treatment is rendered and establishes payment plan on outstanding balances.
- Purchases office and medical supplies.
- Assists in managing clinician patient panels, including transfers and dismissals.
- Ensures positive customer service experience for all patients and participates in service recovery as appropriate.
- Work at different Tryon office locations as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
- Minimum three years manager experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience managing staff.
- Medical office, medical terminology, supervision preferred.
- Excellent customer service, computer, and communication skills required.
- Completion of Hepatitis B Vaccine and Flu Vaccine Form will be required. Candidate may decline vaccination through declination form or may provide record of vaccination from previous employer.
- Completion of TB test will be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.
- Ability to concentrate on details.
- Use of computer for long periods of time.
