Docker is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and people-focused Office Manager to lead operations for our new Seattle office. This role will be instrumental in building an engaging, productive, and inclusive workplace that reflects Docker’s culture and values.

You will play a foundational role in establishing office systems, vendor partnerships, workplace experience standards, and operational processes, not only for the office in Seattle, but for any future office expansions going forward. You will serve as the go-to person for all things office related, partnering closely with People, IT, Finance, and executive leadership to ensure a seamless and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Additionally, you will be the owner and driver of our partnership and collaboration with our facilities vendors and managers.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-growing environments, enjoys building from the ground up, and takes pride in creating exceptional workplace experiences.

Responsibilities

Office Operations & Facilities

  • Establish and manage daily operations of the Seattle office

  • Oversee facilities management, including landlord relations and maintenance coordination

  • Manage office vendors (cleaning, security, utilities, catering, supplies, etc.)

  • Develop and maintain office budgets in partnership with Finance

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and workplace safety standards

  • Create and maintain operational processes and documentation

Workplace Experience & Culture

  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging office environment

  • Plan and execute on-site events, team gatherings, and cultural initiatives

  • Partner with People team and IT team to support onboarding and employee engagement

  • Serve as a culture ambassador, aligning the physical workspace with Docker’s values

Office Visitation & Usage Support

  • Support visiting executives, leadership, and customers with logistics and coordination

  • Manage office access systems and badging

  • Coordinate conference rooms, shared spaces, and workspace assignments

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with IT on equipment provisioning, office technology, and troubleshooting

  • Partner with People and Talent teams to support hiring growth in Seattle

  • Coordinate with global office operations to ensure consistency across locations

  • Contribute to workplace policies and future office planning initiatives

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in office management, facilities management, or workplace operations

  • Experience launching or scaling a new office location strongly preferred

  • Strong vendor management and budget oversight experience

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • High level of discretion and professionalism

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working in a technology company or high-growth environment preferred

  • Proficiency with workplace management tools and common office software platforms

  • Assess the current state of the Seattle office (space, vendors, systems, needs)

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders (People, IT, Finance, leadership)

  • Establish vendor contacts and ensure operational continuity

  • Identify immediate improvements and quick wins

First 90 Days
  • Implement standardized office operations processes and documentation

  • Finalize vendor agreements and optimize service levels

  • Launch regular workplace experience initiatives (events, engagement programs)

  • Establish budget tracking and reporting mechanisms

  • Ensure onboarding experience is seamless for new Seattle hires

First Year
  • Successfully scale office operations to support team growth

  • Optimize space utilization and workplace systems

  • Build a strong, connected Seattle office culture aligned with Docker values

  • Establish a long-term facilities and growth plan

  • Serve as a trusted partner to leadership on workplace strategy and employee experience
