At the core of this initiative lies the DEE, an advanced collaborative platform providing secure, role-based access to a centralized data repository. This comprehensive system serves as the single source of truth for all program-level information, enabling seamless development, coordination, and delivery of engineering products. The DEE integrates state-of-the-art digital tools, optimized processes, innovative methodologies, and robust databases, creating a holistic ecosystem that supports the entire engine lifecycle from conception to sustained operation.
The APD Digital Systems Staff Engineer for Digital Sustainment will play a crucial role in this endeavor. This position involves developing and implementing a model-based sustainment strategy within Cameo in collaboration with customers, the Integrated Product Support (IPS), controls and performance teams and module IPTs. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a unique blend of expertise in digital tools and data analytics, underpinned by a strong foundation in classical systems engineering. Self-motivation and the ability to effectively coordinate with multiple external customers and stakeholders are essential for ensuring successful program execution.
This role is instrumental in leveraging model-based systems engineering to support engine sustainment throughout its entire lifecycle. Effective management of the engine within the DEE is critical for enabling sustainment capabilities such as Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+), Product Health Monitoring (PHM), and the development of a Digital Twin (DTw) for comprehensive life cycle management.Job Description
