Job Overview:

 

Perficient has an immediate need for a .Net/Azure Lead Technical Consultant to support our App Development Business Practice. As a Lead Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and deliver.

  • Serve as a technical lead and mentor.  Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.

  • Collaborate on the design and development of the appropriate solution with client lead and/or project Architect.

  • Ensure implementation, and deployment is done following best practices and client standards.

  • Engage in the process of developing technical documentation efforts and creation of user stories.

  • Conduct code audits and reviews as required.

  • Develop unit testing of code components per the user story.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and clients.

  • Participate in the creation of the WBS and backlog per sprint and assist PM in project planning.

  • Independently manage assigned tasks.

  • Attend sprint planning, retrospective meetings, daily stand-ups and report technical blockers to the project lead.

Qualifications
  • Passionate coder with 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, with strong emphasis on C#/.NET and modern cloud-native architecture.
  • Deep expertise in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, background services), distributed systems, and performance tuning; hands-on with Redis caching and Kafka / event-driven messaging patterns.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, such as Azure Functions, App Service, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Azure Cosmos DB and/or Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus/Event Hubs, Azure API Management, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Monitor / Application Insights / Log Analytics.
  • Practical experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions on Azure using IaC and CI/CD, including Bicep/ARM/Terraform and Azure DevOps Pipelines / GitHub Actions.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and quality—accelerating development workflows, improving troubleshooting, and supporting data-informed task execution.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled platforms and integrations is a plus; solid understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations is expected.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and investigative skills; able to synthesize disparate signals (telemetry, logs, traces, error messages) to drive root-cause resolution.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and deliver outcomes with minimal oversight.
  • Strong consulting and communication skills; effective partnering across business and technical organizations to define and deliver solutions.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle (design, build, test, release, support/maintenance) in enterprise environments.
  • Working knowledge and experience delivering software using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Strong sense of urgency, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Future technology leaders—dynamic individuals energized by continuous personal and professional growth.
  • Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documentation and solution designs.
  • Solid CS foundation: data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or comparable major.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
