The National Sales Coordinator provides sales and administrative support for the national sales team, coordinating RFPs and client interactions, ensuring alignment with market standards, and tracking request statuses.
***This is a remote position. Must be located in the EST or CST time zones.***
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for sales support to the National Sales Representatives and national team activities. May also function as a liaison on national account activities between AOA and other external outdoor advertising groups.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:*
- Uses independent judgment to resolve matters of significance within national sales team, while providing sales and administrative support.
- Point of contact for all National RFPs coordinating activities associated with these RFPs, to include interaction with local markets to assist with processing of RFP responses.
- Fields phone and e-mail requests from Advertising Agencies as well as other media buying groups as well as members of the National Sales Team.
- Enter data for each RFP and tracking the request status following up on RFP’s on a timely and consistent manner.
- While maintaining market and company standards and sales practices, works to meet the expectations of agencies and needs of clients.
- Respond to all other agency requests: competitive spending, material status, past campaign reports, etc.
- While the role may coordinate national ad buys with other outdoor advertising groups, the NSC position functions solely to drive growth within AOA. As such, NSCs should not have an active role in the development of proposals including rate information for both AOA and any other outdoor advertising group due to possible antitrust issues. Work on RFPs should address only AOA inventory and rate structure.
- Attends Weekly National Sales conference calls.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent w/two to four years general office experience.
- Knowledge of advertising functions and terms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent typing and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent customer services skills.
