Position Description

We are looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced leader to fill the role of National Marketing Manager – Trade Marketing. Your role is to inspire and develop a high-performing team of territory managers who exceed their sales and marketing metrics. Your ability to communicate effectively, coach your team and execute strategic goals will be key to achieving sales targets and driving operational success. You will be responsible for owning the plumbing vertical by building the national strategy for UA Canada and plumbing trade organizations. You will understand industry trends and identify top projects and users within the plumbing vertical. You will assist in the planning and execution of plumbing and mechanical trade shows across Canada. Your leadership will empower your team to ensure every new apprentice and trade person has Milwaukee as their brand of choice.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the team to deliver branding, training and conversions targets for union training centres and Trade Schools within your region.
  • Build strong relationships with UA Leadership and build plans to support events, trade competitions, marketing campaigns and convert competitive product at training centres.
  • Create the marketing strategy for our plumbing trade organizations utilizing digital marketing, event planning and lead generation.
  • Captain the plumbing strategy by coordinating activities with: JSS, event marketing, Brand, Product Marketing, operations, and supply chain teams.
  • Coach, mentor and motivate the team to become high level operators
  • Maintain a high degree of market knowledge and keep the organization up to date on competitive trends, top users and upcoming projects.
  • Manage the team’s SG&A budget to achieve profitability goals.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years of successful national account management or equivalent territory sales management.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience managing and leading a team.
  • Strong track record of account management through designing tailored business planning to hyper-grow accounts profitably.
  • Dependable and team-oriented with a proven ability to build relationships that foster win–win partnerships.
  • Comfortable making presentations in front of a group.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • University degree or College diploma.
  • PC literate in Microsoft Office products, Power BI, & forecasting portal.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills, including forecasting and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and excellent presentation skills in English required.
  • Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record and passport.
