Get to Know the Opportunity:  

The National Internal Wholesaler sales professional is responsible for driving retirement plan sales through partnership with Internal/External Wholesalers, financial professionals, and internal teams. This role focuses on proactive outbound outreach, lead qualification and relationship development to generate new opportunities and support business growth within the Emerging Market sales teams. This position will support the Emerging Market Sales Desk and external Sales Directors nationally through targeted and national prospecting campaigns, pricing and investment comparisons, prospecting reports and ad hoc tasks as needed.

Please Note: This position allows remote work from home but will require travel to our Voya office as business requires. 

Compensation: Base + quarterly variable sales bonus

The Contributions You’ll Make:

  • Collaborate with the Emerging Market Sales Desk and external Sales Directors nationally to execute territory sales strategies in the group retirement plan market.
  • Conduct daily outbound calls to financial professionals aimed at securing meetings for Emerging Market Sales Directors and Internal Wholesalers.
  • Qualify prospects, schedule advisor meetings and drive attendance to educational webinars and events.
  • Follow up on webinars, meetings, and other territory-specific events.
  • Track call and meeting outcomes and report accordingly.
  • Submit weekly call/activity reports to the manager.
  • Support the Emerging Market Sales Desk with non-client-facing tasks such as pricing, investment comparisons, and prospecting reports.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate product information and respond to questions effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Marketing or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of sales, financial services, or retirement plan industry experience.
  • Series 6, 63 and Life License preferred, or be expected to obtain them within a designated timeframe.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for pursuing a career in sales.
  • Strong learning agility.
  • Competitive drive and ability to succeed in an activity-based sales environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence.
  • Comfortable in conducting proactive outbound outreach to financial professionals; guide discussions/overcome objections.
  • Ability to balance high-volume outreach with consultative, relationship-driven conversations.
  • Team-oriented contributor who thrives in a collaborative sales environment.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$52,590 - $65,740 USD
