Position Summary

The National Director, Americas (Company-Owned Markets) leads the performance, retention, and operational execution of existing company-owned regions across the Americas. This includes driving consistent delivery of BNI’s Member and chapter experience across all company-owned markets.

This role partners with regional and country leadership to drive disciplined execution of the Fill, Retain, Launch model, ensuring alignment to BNI’s standards, operating model, and strategic priorities. The role operates in close partnership with Franchise Operations to ensure alignment and consistency across BNI’s hybrid company-owned and franchise regions within the United States and Canada

Roles and Responsibilities

Market Performance & Growth Leadership

  • Owns performance outcomes across company-owned regions, including membership growth, retention, and overall chapter health.
  • Drives execution of the Fill, Retain, Launch model across existing markets to ensure sustainable performance and member outcomes.

Regional Leadership Alignment & Accountability

  • Leads and aligns Area Directors, Regional Directors, National office teams and country leadership on priorities, expectations, and performance standards.
  • Holds regional leadership accountable for delivering consistent execution and business results across markets.
  • Drives adoption of best practices and consistent operating approaches across regions.
  • Responsible for creating and executing annualized budget planning and P and L management to achieve revenue and EBITDA goals.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensures consistent adherence to BNI’s operating model, program standards, and member experience expectations across company-owned regions.
  • Identifies and implements improvements to processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Partners with internal teams (marketing, finance, operations) to align support and resources to market needs.

Performance Management & Insights

  • Leads performance management across regions, using data to monitor outcomes, identify gaps, and drive corrective action.
  • Establishes and reinforces consistent benchmarks and expectations for growth, retention, and operational effectiveness.
  • Uses data and insights to inform strategic decisions and adjust market-level strategy, in addition to addressing performance risks.

Strategic Execution

  • Partners with the Division President, Americas toco-develop market strategy for company-owned regions, including priorities for growth, retention, and expansion.
  • Defines strategic direction for the Fill, Retain, Launch model within company-owned markets, aligning enterprise priorities to market needs.
  • Assesses market performance and trends to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic tradeoffs across regions.
  • Leads annual and quarterly business planning processes for company-owned regions.
  • Translates strategy into clear priorities for regional leadership and evolves strategy based on performance insights and market feedback.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Leads and develops direct and indirect teams supporting company-owned regions.
  • Builds a high-accountability, performance-driven culture focused on consistency, ownership, and results.
  • Strengthens leadership capability across regions through coaching, feedback, and development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in operations, multi-unit leadership, or regional business management.
  • Experience leading distributed teams across multiple markets or geographies.
  • Strong understanding of BNI’s business model, culture, and values.
  • Proven ability to drive performance outcomes through data, accountability, and operational discipline.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a membership-based or service delivery model.
  • Experience operating across multiple countries or cultural environments.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
