GENERAL FUNCTION: 

This person is responsible for the day-to-day interaction, operations, and management of large-scale clients within the Newline Group, including Network branded card companies and program managers, industry leading payment processors, ISO’s, Payment Facilitators, and key strategic partners. As the Bank’s primary contact, this person will be providing proactive and consultative support to maintain exceptional customer relations and expand the overall relationship. As the operational and product expert for the client, this person will be a key partner in managing issue resolution, product enhancements and advocating for the client with internal stakeholders at the Bank, including senior management, risk departments, IT, and operations/accounting. This person will be responsible for executive communication, process improvement, conducting certain risk management and operational responsibilities. They will also partner with external vendors on existing and new payment opportunities. As opportunities arise, this leader will assist in organic growth strategies and opportunities. As appropriate given the opportunity, he/she will assist in evaluating opportunities, and play a role in the subsequent integration, management, and growth plans for the new business.

The role is responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage existing large clients within the Newline Group.
  • Assist in the implementation of program changes, and, working closing with a variety of business partners necessary to bring the product/program to market.
  • Manage enhancements and functionality rollouts for existing products/programs and services.
  • Manage periodic oversight of existing program managers assigned to leader.
  • Manage requests from clients that relate to change requests, marketing requests and exception requests related to the programs.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the strategic plan for the department.
  • Conduct research on competitor practices to ensure that our program’s products and services are completive in terms of features and pricing, and that quality service is being provided.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams of internal and external business partners on complex issues related to product development, implementation and ongoing servicing.
  • Development and maintain relations with key customers and internal/external business partners.
  • Take ownership and deliver timely resolution of issues, including working with business partners such as IT, Operations, Business Controls, Compliance Financial Crimes, Accounting and Vendors.
  • Ensure that our programs are designed and managed to minimize both financial and reputational risk to the Bancorp. Monitor industry trends, including reading industry periodicals, web sites and other materials necessary to be an industry expert.
  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of relevant network rules and regulations.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on Business, Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Banking or Account Management or Payments Technology
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
  • Capacity to quickly develop deep technical understanding of mobile wallet and digital payment processing, technology and capabilities
  • Broad understanding of the Payments industry and supporting business systems
  • Highly skilled in Windows based software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
