Job Description SummaryThe NAM MCU Quality Assurance Lead is an integral part of the North American MCU Team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of major component upgrades, with a specific emphasis on Core 100, quality reports, and main bearing brush checks. The Lead will work together with NAM Operations and NAM Project Managers to maintain high standards throughout the upgrade process. They’re also the accountable party for maintaining quality records and implementing quality changes needed with both GE Vernova Teams and Contractor Teams.
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Reports:
    • Generate and maintain detailed quality reports for major component upgrades.
    • Analyze quality data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
    • Present quality findings and recommendations to project teams and management during weekly meetings with internal and external teams.
    • Represent NAM MCU on the global stage for new process implementation and qualification.
  • Main Bearing Brush Checks:
    • Conduct thorough inspections and tests of main bearing brushes as part of the upgrade process.
    • Ensure that main bearing brushes meet specified performance and reliability standards.
    • Document inspection results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Core 100 Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee the quality assurance processes for Core 100 components during upgrades.
    • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for Core 100.
    • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to address any quality issues related to Core 100.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with NAM Operations and NAM Project Managers to ensure alignment of quality goals with project objectives.
    • Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related insights and recommendations.
    • Support cross-functional teams in achieving project milestones and deliverables.
    • Conduct random field audits on GE Vernova Team and Contractor Teams as well as follow up actions from the audit.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for enhancing quality assurance processes and procedures.
    • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the MCU Team.
    • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to component upgrades.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Keep stakeholders informed of quality status, issues, and improvements.
    • Communicate with NAM and Global Engineering on improvements or changes needed.
    • Manage expectations and ensure that quality concerns are addressed promptly.
    • Monthly Quality reporting to NAM Senior Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field, or at least 5 years of Wind Technician Experience.
  • Wind Experience is preferable.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably within the technology or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes and standards.
  • Experience with generating and analyzing quality reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in quality assurance tools and software.

#LI-Remote - This is a remote position

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $93,500.00 and $155,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
