The Role:
The Motors Holding (MH) Regional Manager is a key field-facing leader within General Motors' Sales Operations organization. This role provides qualified, GM approved Dealer candidates with a means to acquire, operate and achieve 100% ownership of GM dealerships through its structured investment and buyout program.
The MH Regional Manager acts as a critical liaison between:
  • Existing dealers seeking to sell their businesses efficiently
  • Approved dealer candidates investing in dealership operations

This role collaborates with internal GM teams and directly manages the performance and oversight of an assigned portfolio of MH dealership investments.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
  • Serve as a financial and operational subject matter expert for dealer candidates, MH dealers, and GM field teams.
  • Lead and execute all dealership pre-investment due diligence, including:
    • Developing operational forecasts and investment viability analyses
    • Evaluating multiple M&A investment frameworks
    • Ensuring alignment between dealer candidates and investment opportunities
    • Negotiating enterprise valuations and buy-sell agreements
    • Presenting investment proposals to the MH Director and Investment Committee
    • Coordinating pre-closing activities with legal, financial, and real estate stakeholders
  • Participate as an active Board of Directors member for Motors Holding dealer companies, offering strategic counsel and governance.
  • Build strong relationships with dealer operators, offering continued consultative guidance and performance monitoring.

Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field
  • Ability, willingness, and flexibility to relocate to support any of the 5 regions based on business need
  • 8-10+ years in the automotive industry
  • 5+ years of direct experience working with or consulting to dealer principals/operator-owners
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability in:
    • Business negotiation and forecasting
    • Multitasking across complex, fast-paced projects
    • Analytical evaluation and strategic thinking
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions or buy-sell transactions
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for site visits and closings

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of retail automotive dealership operations
  • Experience in dealership network strategy or field operations
  • Prior involvement in dealership transitions or start-up operations
