Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.

JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
Responsibilities- Own and execute JerseySTEM’s social media strategy across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
- Define content pillars and messaging aligned with JerseySTEM’s mission and goals
- Oversee content planning and calendars including image sourcing and copywriting
- Manage and guide contributors (analysts, designers, volunteers) involved in social media execution
- Lead community management and foster meaningful engagement with followers
- Analyze performance metrics, prepare reports, and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Identify trends, opportunities, and best practices related to STEM education, volunteerism, and corporate social responsibility
- Partner with internal teams to support campaigns, initiatives, and storytelling efforts
- Explore and evaluate influencer, partner, and brand collaboration opportunities
- 2 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content strategy
- Experience developing and executing social media strategies
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and visual content direction skills
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when needed
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
- Experience working with analytics and performance reporting
- Familiarity with Google tools (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Proficiency with tools such as Canva; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Comfortable leading in a remote, volunteer-based environment
- Proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and eagerness to learn and grow
- Must-Have: Good Knowledge of MS Clarity
- Commitment: 5–10 hours per week (average)
