Position Summary

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the farm-to-plant milk supply chain, coordinating shipments, optimizing routes, and ensuring that fresh milk moves seamlessly from farms to plants. You’ll collaborate with top-tier clients, becoming a trusted advisor and problem-solver for milk supply chain strategies.
You’ll gain exposure to cream and commodity scheduling, trading, and transportation, expanding your knowledge across the dairy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the farm-to-plant milk dispatch process, creating, maintaining, and adjusting schedules to optimize efficiency, cost, and service.
 - Collaborate closely with farms, haulers, and plants to ensure all milk loads are delivered on time and meet processing requirements.
 - Participate in client calls to strategize milk assignments and provide insight into supply chain conditions.
 - Execute logistics for milk purchases, sales, and swaps, adapting quickly to changes to minimize disruptions and costs.
 - Provide on-call weekend, holiday, and after-hours support in rotation with your team.
 - Deliver actionable insights through customer business reviews, identifying opportunities to enhance milk supply chain performance.
 - Support new client onboarding and help them master our dispatch and tracking platforms.
 - Offer tech guidance and training to clients and haulers as needed.
 - Back up Commodity Managed Services customers, handling scheduling, trading, and transportation tasks.
 - Other duties and/or projects as assigned
 
Qualifications
- 3+ years of milk dispatch experience—you know the ins and outs of milk logistics.
 - Dairy industry and/or transportation experience—your familiarity with farms, plants, and haulers makes you a true supply chain expert.
 - Experience with cream/commodity scheduling or trading is a plus.
 - Intermediate MS Office and general computer skills.
 - Familiarity with Ever.Ag Dispatch platform or a willingness to quickly become an expert.
