Position Summary
The Milk Accounting Specialist manages the producer payroll process for our clients to ensure the full payroll process is completed accurately and timely. This role reviews critical client data, process client data and balance (reconcile) discrepancies related to this procedure. As problems arise and are resolved, the Milk Accounting Specialist will provide timely, accurate and clear communication to clients and internal teams related to the found discrepancies or other related milk accounting processing issues. This role ensures data is accurately processed while building strong relationships with clients through clear, accurate and timely communication.
Key Responsibilities
Execute the Ever.Ag client services producer payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
Oversee data management associated with milk/component weights, resolution, or modifications within the Ever.Ag operating systems.
Perform due diligence processes to ensure that data entry and processing functions were accurately performed.
Validate that payments have been processed according to the Federal Order regulations, to include checking formulas, pricing, labs, and milk/component weights.
Identify producer payroll issues or areas for improvement and conduct the necessary research to recommend solutions
Execute client change requests associated with the Milk Accounting service
Support management in resolving client disputes and issues relating specifically to the Milk Accounting service function
Be the lead in communicating with all parties involved in the Milk Accounting process (Lab Work, Field Reps, Client Payroll Managers)
Work with Federal Order Marketing Administrators on behalf of client as needed
Maintain records for audit purposes
Complete importing / data entry of manifests in to the Ever.Ag system
Import and match labs received from outside sources
Complete the balancing portion of the payroll process
Participate in customer account relationship development activities (may require minimal travel) including participation in quarterly business reviews and presentation of KPIs
Participate in sales process for new business, the development of product specifications, and in product testing activities throughout production cycles
Work with team members to meet establish and deliver on team and individual goals
Own and deliver pooling services to customers
Participate in other assigned projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related areas from an accredited college or university
A minimum of 5 years related data processing or accounting experience
Applicable experience within the Federal Order milk payment process is a plus
Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite with advanced working knowledge of Excel
