The Field Marketing Team at Risepoint is a diverse group of professionals with specialized expertise in healthcare, K-12 education, Military and business industries. We serve as trusted representatives of our university partners, working directly within local communities to build meaningful connections with prospective students and organizations. 

Join our dynamic team as a Military University Outreach Specialist and play a pivotal role in engaging potential students through captivating information sessions about Methodist University's online undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and certificate programs. This fully remote, part-time role provides a unique opportunity to support military-affiliated students through flexible remote work and in-person outreach at U.S. military bases and events across North Carolina.

What You Will Do:

  • Organize and facilitate accurate and engaging information sessions, and webinars to represent Methodist University's online degree programs at military bases and community colleges.

  • Develops and nurtures relationships with career services departments, student veteran organizations, and faculty advisors.

  • Provides in-depth information and counseling to potential applicants about military career paths, educational benefits, training opportunities, and the application process.

  • Provide prospective students with detailed information about online degree programs, supporting their continuing education goals. This includes a commitment to receive follow-up from an enrollment specialist who will review the program, answer questions, and outline the next steps, including the application process.

  • This remote role primarily focuses managing partnership with Methodist University with the territory of US Military Bases any state, requiring travel up to 75%, with minimal overnight stays.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Demonstrates strong customer centricity:

    • Consistent account prospecting: Actively identifying and reaching out to new and existing accounts/employers to grow the partner’s brand throughout the field rep’s assigned territory. ​

    • Creating a healthy event type mix: Strategically identifying and executing student recruitment events, leveraging a variety of event types to fill the top, middle, and bottom of the lead funnel. ​​

    • Programmatic knowledge: Providing prospective students with detailed information about online degree programs, supporting their continuing education goals.

  • Relationship Building:

    • Active listening: Understanding the employer’s challenges and goals before offering solutions.​

    • Follow-through: Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and maintaining engagement​

    • ​Internal Relationship Building: Cross functional collaboration; cross team collaboration

  • Operational Excellence​

    • Adhering to SOPs, data entry/maintenance, timeliness of expected reports and Travel & Expense (T/E) submission​

    • Compliance adherence, and consistent attendance and engagement during individual and team meetings as well as trainings.

  • Adaptability:​

    • Supports and leads change to improve the organization​

    • Adapts to new challenges​

    • Embraces new technologies, strategies, and approaches​

    • Evolves to meet the partner and student needs

Experience That Matters Most:

  • Must be an experienced servicemember, often a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) or officer, who has completed initial service obligations with deep knowledge of military regulations, policies, career paths and benefits is required.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in military recruiting, sales or field marketing.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or marketing related field is required.

  • A professional demeanor, energetic approach, positive attitude, punctuality, and high integrity are essential.

  • Must reside in North Carolina.

Experience That's Great to Have:

  • Experience in sales, or similar roles is preferred.

  • Ability to effectively engage with Military and undergrad students to discuss the advantages of furthering their education.
