The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Technical Consultant with deep experience in Dynamics 365 F&SCM (and ideally AX 2012). You’ll be a hands-on technical leader across new implementations, ISV product development, and enhancement projects. You’ll design and build customizations, integrations, and data solutions, working directly with clients and functional teams to bring projects to life. This role combines technical depth with the opportunity to grow into leadership—solution architecture, team mentoring, and client engagement

Essential Functions

  • Develop high-quality customizations using X++ and extensions in D365 F&SCM 
  • Design and implement integrations with external systems (REST, JSON, XML, C# APIs, Azure Functions) 
  • Build and optimize data solutions using DMF, BYOD, Power BI, and Azure Data Lake (Synapse Link) 
  • Participate in full implementation lifecycle: design, estimation, build, testing, deployment, support 
  • Serve as the technical SME for D365 & FSCM projects, upgrades, and managed services clients 
  • Authoring solution design documents and technical design documents 
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, PMs, and QA engineers in an agile delivery environment 
  • Actively participate in code reviews, DevOps pipelines, and technical workshops with clients 
  • Support and help evolve internal ISV products built in C# and deployed in Azure 
  • Participate in ISV roadmap strategy, planning and development 

Skills & Experience 

  • Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on development experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&SCM 
  • Expert-level knowledge of X++, extensions model, batch framework, and event handlers 
  • Experience with AX 2012, especially in upgrade or migration projects 
  • Strong skills in .NET/C# development, including integration via DLLs and APIs 
  • Proven ability to design integrations using JSON/XML, Azure Functions, and API testing tools (Postman) 
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, repos, builds/releases 
  • Working knowledge of Git and TFS Branching strategies 
  • Proficiency with Data Management Framework (DMF) and entity-based data migration 
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, Azure Data Lake, and Synapse Link 
  • Familiarity with Dual-write, Business Events, Logic Apps, or Power Automate 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to lead workshops and translate business needs into solutions 
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Methodology, Success by Design  

Nice-to-Haves (or Willingness to Learn) 

  • Presentation experience and technical workshop leadership 
  • Good understanding of TMS (transportation management), small parcel shipping, logistics, LTL and Warehousing and Advanced Warehousing 
  • Experience with ISV product development or marketplace apps 
  • Experience with 3rd Party middleware platforms (Dell Boomi, Kingsway Soft, MuleSoft, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with the Unified Developer Experience (UDE) for Power Platform/D365 
  • GIT Repository and Branching experience would be great  
  • Azure DevOps-Pipeline building, repository would
