Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the execution of Lowe's military recruiting programs and serve as a strategic partner in attracting military and veteran talent across Stores, Supply Chain, Store Support Centers (SSC), and corporate functions. This role manages military recruiting initiatives, oversees key military talent pipelines and programs, including the Department of Defense SkillBridge Fellowship Program, and represents Lowe's at external military recruiting events. Additionally, this role serves as a subject matter expert and advisor on military and veteran recruiting, engagement, partnerships, and community support while supporting enterprise talent acquisition objectives.
What You Will Do
  • Manage the execution of Lowe's military recruiting programs, partnerships, events, and talent pipelines to support enterprise hiring objectives and workforce needs.
  • Drive military engagement initiatives, partnerships, on-site recruiting strategies, and sponsorship opportunities to increase awareness of Lowe's employment opportunities and build qualified military talent pipelines.
  • Build, manage, and evolve Lowe's Department of Defense SkillBridge Fellowship Program to provide meaningful career opportunities for transitioning service members while supporting critical business hiring needs.
  • Oversee the military recruiting budget and develop business cases to support program growth, operational effectiveness, and return on investment.
  • Manage Lowe's military recruiting employer brand through speaking engagements, social media, recruiting events, military installations, and community outreach efforts to attract military-affiliated talent.
  • Develop military-focused content, recruiting materials, videos, and career site enhancements that strengthen Lowe's military employer brand in partnership with the talent acquisition branding team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with military organizations, installations, government agencies, vendors, and community partners to expand talent pipelines and increase market presence.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics, industry trends, and program performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance military recruiting outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for business leaders, human resources partners, and recruiters regarding military talent attraction, hiring practices, succession planning, and military skills translation.
  • Develop and deliver training and education programs for recruiters and hiring managers to increase understanding of military experience, terminology, and transferable skills.
  • Support military-focused initiatives, partnerships, reporting requirements, and community engagement efforts in partnership with community relations, government affairs, inclusion team, supplier diversity, compensation & benefits, and other enterprise teams.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7 years of combined recruiting and military service experience
  • 5 years of recruiting experience, including experience supporting corporate and/or field-based hiring
  • 5 years of experience utilizing applicant tracking systems
  • 5 years of experience conducting behavioral-based interviewing

Preferred Skills/Education
  • Experience serving in any branch of the U.S. military
  • Experience leading, managing, or supervising others through direct or indirect reporting relationships
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a strategic business partner across multiple functions
  • Retail industry leadership experience
  • Experience managing external partnerships, contracts, or military-affiliated programs
