We are looking for an experienced Medicare Enrollment Specialist (Temporary) to join our Network Operations team. The Medicare Enrollment Specialist plays a key role in expanding Talkspace's network by managing provider enrollment with payers that do not fully delegate credentialing. This position is vital for achieving network capacity and successful non-delegated credentialing outcomes through expert project management, process optimization, and robust operational support. Core functions include fostering continuous improvement within enrollment processes and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments, especially with Onboarding, Training, and Credentialing on network operations projects. Furthermore, the Specialist will act as a key liaison with vendors, internal Talkspace teams, and leadership to drive the success of all provider enrollment operations.

This is a temporary position for 2- 3 months with an hourly rate between $28 - $35. This position is remote based in Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC.

What You’ll Do

  • Medicare Provider Enrollment Operations
    • Oversight and management of the Medicare Enrollment Flow
    • Acquire a deep understanding of Medicare related systems (CMS, PECOS etc)
    • Send surrogacy requests
    • Assist in medicare application reassignment of benefits
    • Prepare provider applications for initial enrollment and/or assignment of benefits
    • Coordinate with providers to provide resources and support throughout the enrollment process
    • Liaise with the network operations team to ensure medicare needs are being met via enrollment
    • Engage providers re medicare application signing
    • Report on medicare enrollment issues
  • Credentialing / Enrollment Operations
    • Receive and process Tricare East certification applications
    • Manage Horizon BCBS provider roster in Availity Essentials, disenrolling deactivated providers and linking new participating providers
    • Manage Optum provider roster of newly added and termed providers in Provider Express, ensuring all newly credentialed providers are confirmed as active in the system and all newly termed providers are confirmed as deactivated.
    • Process enrollments of newly credentialed providers for Magellan PHP of New Mexico. Process disenrollments for providers leaving the platform.
    • Data management for BCBS data integrity, ie: name verification, license acronym verification, etc.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify areas of improvement, enrollment gaps, and operational bottlenecks
    • Complete knowledge and full understanding of area of specialization, principles and practices within a professional discipline. 
  • Team Meetings
    • Be an active participant and problem solver in recurrent meetings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

About You 

  • Medicare systems/Medicare enrollment experience
  • Provider enrollment experience
  • BA/BS Degree
  • 1-2 years of operations preferred
  • Having experience with technical platforms and funnels preferred
