How You Will Achieve It
- Lead proactive and reactive medical-to-medical communications in the field between healthcare professionals and the medical functions within Pfizer
- Gather and analyze customer insights to help shape Pfizer medical activities that appropriately support customer needs
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive stakeholder map to identify relevant HCPs, medical societies, and other relevant external stakeholders
- Identify and facilitate educational, research and other partnerships between external stakeholders and Pfizer
- Address field and customer queries on Pfizer medicines and research as well as handling compassionate use requests
- Scientific expert and stakeholder management for HCPs, medical societies, other healthcare-related organisations, and academia
- Execute the therapeutic area (TA) strategy under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Field Medical Excellence responsible for the allocated assets and leadership of the TA Medical Lead
- Contribute to ensuring company's medical compliance
- Provide support to both Pfizer sponsored, and investigator-sponsored research activities
- Additional support as required by the TA medical lead to assist with Clinical, Regulatory and Access support for pipeline and inline assets
- A relevant university degree in science including healthcare professions
- Proven experience either working as an MSL or deep knowledge of therapeutic area
- 2+ years' experience in a scientific and technical capacity interacting with academics, researchers, or the medical profession
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and partnering skills
- Ability to understand and influence in a highly matrixed environment
- Demonstrated strategic business planning abilities and superior customer management skills
- Medical Qualifications or PhD
- Pharmaceutical Industry experience
- Experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar
- Good working knowledge of relevant industry codes of conduct/practice
