  • Design and develop enclosures for electronic systems, including:
    • Outdoor Camera enclosures (optical & thermal)
    • Outdoor and industrial-grade housings (battery, solar controllers etc)
  • Select materials and manufacturing methods across:
    • Aluminum, steel, stainless steel
    • Plastics and composites
    • Additive and subtractive processes
  • Design for environmental durability:
    • Dust, moisture, temperature, vibration
  • Collaborate closely with EE and RF teams to ensure:
    • Thermal Performance
    • Antenna placement and RF transparency
  • Support prototyping, testing, and production handoff

What You Bring:
  • 3+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience
  • Strong experience with enclosure design for electronics
  • Working knowledge of IP ratings (IP65, IP66, IP67, etc.) and related standards
  • Experience designing parts for:
    • CNC machining
    • Sheet metal
    • Injection molding
    • 3D printing
  • Proficiency with modern CAD tools (currently in Fusion 360)
Bonus Points:
  • Experience designing camera enclosures involving:
    • Optical windows
    • Thermal viewports (thermal camera)
    • Thermal isolation
    • Lens alignment and sealing
  • Experience designing around wireless systems inside enclosures:
    • Antenna placement
    • RF-friendly materials
    • Shielding tradeoffs
  • Familiarity with:
    • FCC / CE / regional certification processes
    • Industrial or hazardous-location environments (C1D2, C1D1)
