Responsibilities:

The Professional Product Engineer is responsible for performing general engineering functions related to design, applications, and processes for oil & gas, aerospace, and manufacturing industries. This position supports the development of design solutions and technical concepts for the manufacturing process - Specifically, pressure vessel designs.

  • Innovative Designer: Define product designs with minimal supervision based on functional customer needs, considering material, process, and economic factors. Clearly explain designs to customers, ensuring their requirements are met.

  • Continuous Improver: Enhance existing product designs using available information, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

  • PDP Specialist: Work primarily within the Product Development Process (PDP), ensuring efficient and effective product development.

  • Customer Interface: Serve as the main technical interface to the customer, fostering strong relationships and ensuring technical requirements are understood and met.

  • Project Manager: Manage smaller interdisciplinary projects as needed, ensuring successful project execution and collaboration across teams.

  • Detail-Oriented Creator: Create and check drawings, design verification plans, and other technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

  • Engineering Strategist: Utilize engineering strategies such as Finite Element Method (FEM), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to support and enhance product designs.

  • Tester and Documenter: Initiate product verification testing, review results, and document findings in accordance with applicable standards, ensuring product quality and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience

  • 8-years or more of Industry-relevant professional experience

  • ASME with pressure vessel design experience and other relevant certifications, system experience, and training

  • Professional-Level English language skills preferred
