Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM) ProActive Developer to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom extensions, modifications, and integrations within the Manhattan Active platform using the ProActive extension framework. You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain Architects, Business Analysts, and QA teams to ensure that our WMS solutions meet complex operational requirements and drive supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extension & Customization: Design, code, and implement backend and frontend extensions within MAWM using the Manhattan ProActive framework to meet specific business workflows.

  • System Integration: Develop and manage RESTful APIs and microservices to integrate MAWM with external enterprise systems, including ERPs (e.g., SAP), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

  • Architecture & Design: Collaborate with Solution Architects to translate business requirements into scalable, cloud-native technical designs aligned with Manhattan’s microservices architecture.

  • Testing & Debugging: Perform unit testing, troubleshoot complex defects, and resolve critical technical issues within the MAWM environment.

  • Deployment & CI/CD: Participate in version control, code reviews, and automated deployment processes, ensuring seamless transitions across development, testing, and production environments.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for system optimization and performance tuning within the warehouse management lifecycle (Receiving, Putaway, Wave Planning, Picking, Shipping).

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: [Insert Number, e.g., 5+] years of experience in Software Engineering, with a minimum of [Insert Number, e.g., 2+] years of direct development experience in Manhattan Active WM (MAWM).

  • ProActive Framework: Hands-on experience developing within the Manhattan ProActive extension framework (UI and backend).

  • Core Programming: Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs, as well as modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular or React) utilized in Manhattan Active UI extensions.

  • Cloud Technologies: Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), which hosts the Manhattan Active suite.

  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of warehouse management and supply chain execution processes.

  • Tools: Experience with Git, Postman, JSON, XML, and CI/CD pipelines.
