Job Description
The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Materials & Production Planner to work at our sauces processing facility in Fremont, OH. Successful candidates must be willing to work as an integral part of our Materials and Production planning department to support production operations Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated, fast paced work environment. Successful candidate should possess good communication and time management skills.

  • Currently hiring for first shift non-union hourly position. Hours include Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. Candidates must be willing to work occasional Saturday's when needed. Starting Pay Rate $34.13/hr.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Works with corporate procurement to release and coordinate delivery of ingredients, packaging supplies, etc. to the plant in a timely manner to support the production schedule while maintaining inventory necessary to meet working capital needs
  • Works with corporate Sales & Operations Planners to plan and develop weekly production plans
  • Must view planning needs and longer lead times to ensure supplies are available to support schedules outside of the scheduling time horizon
  • Works closely with warehouse operations and inventory control functions to recognize inventory adjustments, cycle count and shelf-life expiration that can change the supply plans
  • Daily planning, monitoring, evaluation and coordination of factory raw materials and packaging supplies to ensure production schedules are met; monitor inventory levels, validate incoming deliveries, set-up re-supply orders, purchase orders or requisitions, and ensure adequate documentation and spreadsheets are maintained
  • Direct, manage, monitor and reconcile raw materials shipped to off-site warehouses for storage to provide support to the factory's rolling 6-week production schedule
  • Maintain direct contact with suppliers to keep aware of new developments, to encourage compliance with Kraft Heinz requirements, and to obtain assistance in emergency situations
  • Implement procedures to guarantee effective and expeditious ordering of raw materials
  • Input re-supply orders, purchase orders and requisitions, secure freight and raw material quotes, verify contract condition items for accuracy, audit receiving documentation, invoices for payment, make invoice adjustments as required, and follow-up with vendor on any issues
  • Assist and coordinate R&D reformulation, bill of material changes, new product development and testing to ensure material is within Kraft Heinz specifications and timely deliveries
  • Maintain raw material spreadsheet for purchasing, issuing and tracking of raw ingredients fo=r inventory reduction and problem-solving purposes
  • Support and review forecast volumes before submitting to vendors
  • Manages SAP facility master data
  • Participate in QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior Supply Chain experience is preferred
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirement associated with purchasing functions
  • Effective verbal and written communications
  • Works effectively and cooperatively with others
  • Effectively manages time and resources to ensure work is completed successfully
  • Required continuous improvement and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
