Texas Security General Insurance Agency is seeking a Marketing Territory Representative to work in our Houston, Texas market.

This can be a Remote from home opportunity for the right candidate. Must be domiciled in the Houston Texas area.

A Marketing Territory Representative plays an important role in an organization’s success and is someone who is responsible for creating awareness about TSG PL and CL products and qualifying Agents who might be a good fit for writing business through TSG.  This person is responsible for the planning and execution of weekly visits to Agent's office to build relationships, awareness of products and training all with the goal of increasing revenues YOY.

Since 2004, TSGA has invested tremendous capital in its “real time” internet-based program ISi, Internet Solutions for Insurance.

Further, in February 2007, TSGA expanded into the commercial lines business providing competitive markets for commercial property, liability and inland marine products. Today, TSGA offers a wide array of Commercial contract & brokerage markets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Calls on existing and potential agents to provide product information and materials as well as agency updates. 

  • Organize, outline and maintain a well-defined call cycle.

  • Maintain precise and accurate records of daily and weekly activities and referral profiles.

  • Work with Marketing at TSG on the creation of various marketing tools including brochures, exhibits, press releases, and advertising.

  • Remain current with reimbursement and compliance procedures.

  • Facilitate effective communication with all agents and respond promptly and appropriately to any questions or concerns.

  • Performs periodic market analysis, identifies and targets new opportunities and updates the PCL regarding such opportunities and market changes/opportunities.

  • Helps to develop marketing tools for the UW staff as needed particular to their territory.

  • Prepares and monitors marketing reports, goals and outcomes, communicates regularly with UW team to ensure mutual goals are understood and met.

  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and related news.

  • Attends meetings and conventions as called upon by the PCL.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher education

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • 3–5 years’ experience in Commercial E&S Multi-Line Insurance – Required

  • License or Designation

  • This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle.  Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a business or financial related discipline

  • Bilingual
