How Your Role Will Shape Our Success 

Join Walker Consultants and help shape the stories, strategies, and pursuits that drive impactful projects across the built environment. 

We’re looking for a strategic and detail-driven Marketing Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys leading pursuits from kickoff to submission. In this role, you’ll partner closely with technical teams, regional leadership, and business development professionals to create compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing initiatives that help win meaningful work nationwide. 

This is an opportunity for an experienced A/E/C marketer who enjoys both high-level strategy and hands-on execution — someone who can balance deadlines, lead with confidence, and mentor others while elevating the quality and consistency of our brand. 


What You’ll Do 
  • Lead and manage complex proposal pursuits from strategy through submission  

  • Write and develop proposal content, including project descriptions, resumes, qualifications, and marketing collateral  

  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop winning strategies, themes, and differentiators  

  • Participate in capture planning, client research, and go/no-go discussions  

  • Support interview preparation and presentation rehearsals  

  • Coordinate conference, convention, and exhibition materials  

  • Help maintain brand consistency across marketing materials and digital communications  

  • Track leads and support business development follow-up efforts  

  • Partner with corporate marketing on branding, digital strategy, photography, and advertising initiatives  

  • Mentor and support junior marketing staff while promoting A/E/C marketing best practices 

 

What You Bring 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field  

  • 7+ years of marketing or communications experience within the A/E/C industry  

  • Strong proposal and pursuit management experience  

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills  

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities  

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and collaborative mindset  

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in Adobe InDesign  

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  

  • Experience mentoring or leading team members is highly valued 

 

Compensation & Benefits 

At Walker Consultants, we are committed to maintaining fairness and equity in our pay practices. For this role, the estimated base salary range is $85,000 – $110,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. We value open conversations about compensation and welcome the opportunity to discuss more about base salary and Walker’s total rewards philosophy during the recruiting process.
