About The Role

Shape the Future of Scientific Discovery in the $23+ Trillion Biopharma and Materials Science Market with Cutting-Edge AI Simulation. As the founding Marketing hire for our AI Simulation Team at SandboxAQ, you will spearhead brand awareness and drive the adoption of our groundbreaking LQM-powered solutions.

SandboxAQ is a technology powerhouse empowering scientists with cutting-edge AI and Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) like AQBioSim and AQChemSim to accelerate breakthroughs and navigate complex challenges in Biology, Chemistry, and Materials Science. This is your unique opportunity to define a category and build a brand synonymous with innovation and impact within these critical sectors of the quantitative economy.

What You’ll Do
  • Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to penetrate key sectors within the $23+ trillion quantitative economy – including Biopharma/Diagnostics ($8T) and Chemicals/Materials/Energy ($15T) – by promoting our AI Simulation solutions to relevant stakeholders across industry and the public sector.
  • Storytelling: Craft compelling, value-based messaging that simplifies complex technical concepts to address customer pain points and drive sales and commercial partnerships.   
  • Content & Campaigns: Drive lead generation in Biopharma, Chemistry & Material Sciences by writing and creating compelling content (presentations, white papers, case studies, website) and executing targeted marketing campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies across the customer journey.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies, position our solutions for commercial success, and support sales initiatives.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and drive data-driven improvements.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Align marketing efforts with overarching business objectives by collaborating closely with product, business development, and R&D teams to influence the solution roadmap.
  • Partnerships: Collaborate with customers, hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud), and GTM partners to develop case studies, co-branding content, webinars, events, and co-marketing assets that amplify our reach.
About You 
  • 8+ years of marketing experience driving brand awareness and revenue growth in biopharma, pharma, or other life sciences.  
  • You have expertise in storytelling, messaging, positioning, and product launches for technical solutions or scientific products with a portfolio of samples to showcase this work. 
  • You can create content for a range of environments, from presentations and data sheets to online ads, blogs, and white papers.
  • Bachelor's degree ideally in a STEM field such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics
  • You are excited about joining a start-up and the scrappy, high-paced nature of the work that comes with that. 
  • You collaborate well with technical colleagues and creative partners and have experience working with external marketing/PR firms. 
  • You are passionate about defining the future of the AI and LQM ecosystem applied to chemistry and biology.
  • You’re able to travel up to 30% for a variety of purposes, including customer/partner engagements, industry conferences, and internal meetings/offsites.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $179k-$251k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
