The Opportunity

The Marketing Events Manager sits at the intersection of our go-to-market and marketing efforts , creating the operating cadence, expertise, and infrastructure that enable a coherent company-wide events program. You will work closely with business-unit marketing liaisons, the Executive Office, Sales, and external partners to translate individual business strategies into high-impact events and thought-leadership opportunities.

We are looking for a strategic and highly self-sufficient Marketing Events Manager to join our team and lead SandboxAQ’s global events and experiential programs. This role is responsible for developing and executing an event strategy that supports a range of business objectives—from brand and thought leadership to customer engagement and demand generation—in partnership with business-area marketing leaders, Sales, and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings broad B2B marketing and events expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to independently navigate complex programs and competing stakeholder priorities. You’ll serve as the connective tissue between business objectives and event execution, bringing the right partners and expertise together to create impactful experiences without needing to be the subject-matter expert in every area of marketing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the marketing events strategy in partnership with business-area marketing leaders and executive stakeholders. Translate business priorities into a focused event portfolio that balances brand, thought leadership, relationship building, and demand-generation objectives, with clear goals and measures of success.

  • Lead the strategy and execution of priority events and experiences across sponsorships, conferences, hosted and partner events, and executive engagements ranging from large-scale industry tradeshows to small, high-touch executive experiences that require full end-to-end ownership (e.g., strategy, venue, experience design, and on-site production). Personally lead and travel to approximately 12 priority offsite events, bringing strong strategic judgment, creative problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail to each one.

  • Drive event performance and measurement by establishing event-level goals and appropriate success metrics in partnership with business-area marketing and demand-generation teams. Use available data and systems, including Salesforce and Marketo, to evaluate audience quality, engagement, lead generation, pipeline influence, ROI, and other relevant KPIs, and translate results into actionable recommendations.

  • Own the event program budget and operating model, including event-level cost tracking, financial reporting, forecasting, vendor management, and budget recommendations. Maintain the master event calendar, Jira workflows, marketing asset warehouse, and other program infrastructure needed to run an effective and scalable events program.

  • Manage event materials and logistics infrastructure, including marketing swag development, ordering, fulfillment, and inventory, as well as event and ad hoc marketing shipping requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing events, with demonstrated experience independently owning complex programs and delivering measurable business impact.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Willingness and ability to travel for approximately 12 priority offsite events annually, with additional travel as business needs require.

  • Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects, tight deadlines, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities.

  • Business-forward and analytical mindset, with the ability to establish appropriate measures of success, interpret performance data, and communicate insights and recommendations to leadership.

Highly Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience working across multiple marketing disciplines and translating brand, thought leadership, customer, and demand-generation objectives into effective event strategies.

  • Creative, resourceful, and comfortable testing new approaches that differentiate the brand and create memorable experiences.

  • Experience building scalable event programs and enablement models that extend a company’s presence through employees, partners, and other internal or external resources.

  • Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Jira, or similar marketing and program-management platforms.
