The People Science proprietary technology, Chloe (Consumer Health Learning & Organizing Ecosystem), is a customizable solution for conducting end-to-end rigorous decentralized clinical trials. It is a consumer-friendly mobile app on the frontend, and a modular and configurable clinical research data management tool on the backend. It is designed to engage individual participants in the clinical research process by using their personal devices through active and passive data collection. The platform empowers individuals to answer the question, “Which alternative medicines work best for me?” while making scaled clinical evidence generation easier and more affordable for consumer brands, manufacturers, biotech and biopharma, and academic researchers.

Job Summary
People Science is an early stage technology company seeking an experienced Marketing Director who understands the needs and challenges of B2B marketing, ideally within niche industries. As our first marketing hire, you will play a pivotal role in building the foundation for long-term success by working collaboratively to design and implement strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape and execute marketing initiatives in close partnership with our leadership team and a network of industry advisors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Work closely with the COO, leadership team, and advisory board to co-develop and implement a scalable marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals and targets key decision-makers in the nutraceutical and health and wellness sectors.
- Lead Generation: Drive demand generation campaigns across multiple channels (email, content, social, webinars, etc.) to build a steady pipeline of qualified leads.
- Content Marketing: Create high-quality, relevant content (blog posts, LinkedIn posts, whitepapers, case studies, infographics, etc.) that resonates with our audience and educates them about the value of our platform.
- Digital Marketing: Own and optimize digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM, paid ads, and social media to maximize ROI.
- Partnerships & Events: Identify and coordinate partnership opportunities, sponsorships, and relevant industry events to increase visibility and connect with potential customers that make the most of our limited budget.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics, report on campaign performance, and use data to iterate and improve marketing efforts.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with sales, product, and leadership teams to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives.
Requirements and Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a proven track record in executing marketing programs in niche markets (experience in software or health tech is a plus).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of demand generation, digital marketing, content marketing, and lead nurturing.
- Tech Stack: Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, or similar) and CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of clinical trials, health and wellness, or software industries is highly desirable.
- Data Driven: Analytical mindset with experience in tracking, reporting, and using data to drive decisions.

We are a remote-first team, primarily based in the Los Angeles area. We have a preference for employees in the Southern California area to join for occasional in-person meetings. Anyone outside of that area may require occasional travel for meetings. For this role, travel is expected for key industry conferences as needed.
Salary is competitive and will depend on various factors including applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.
