About the Role:

Your job as an Marketing Development Representative (MDR) is to get the sales process moving quickly by making a great first impression over the phone and establishing a solid foundation on which a beneficial, long-term relationship can be built. MDRs sit on the frontlines of our sales and marketing channels, qualifying incoming sales leads and routing to appropriate sales teams across the company.

MDRs play an important role in gathering as much information as they can about a potential client while qualifying them for a potential sales opportunity. Once qualifying an opportunity, they will pass the opportunity to our Sales Teams who will craft a customized software package for each prospect. Your day-to-day activity as a MDR will consist of answering our inbound sales calls and chats, while also following up on online form submissions and leads generated by our Demand Generation Managers. MDRs who exceed their goals and approach their work with a positive, enthusiastic attitude can move up the ladder quickly. Whether you want to ascend through the MDR management ranks, explore an Associate Demand Generation role, or make the jump to an inside sales position on your way to becoming an outside sales representative, success is the key to unlocking the doors of opportunity at Blackbaud.
