Job Description
The Marketing Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, proofreading articles before publication, conceptualizing and translating written content across the organization. Role should be familiar with producing online and offline support content and have an eye for detail.Location: This is a remote position, but the ideal candidate would reside within 60 miles from our corporate office in NE, Ohio for routine meetings, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Develop appropriate proposal of content strategy and persuasive messaging
- Research and create content for website, social media, targeted emails that align with organization’s strategy
- Develop engaging content to support organization’s goals and further brand identity
- Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
- Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
- Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
- Proofread and edit content before publication
- Interview clinical network to develop and generate original content to be public facing
- Submit work to stakeholders for input and approval
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
- Generate persuasive, original, imaginative communications that are both analytically convincing and emotionally compelling
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
- Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
- Contribute to and edit policies as needed
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field
- Required 1-2 years as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
- Portfolio of published articles
- Experience doing research using multiple sources
- Familiarity with web publications
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English using AP Style
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems
- Ability to meet deadlines
- HubSpot experience or marketing automation software a plus
- Travel up to 10%
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform the job.
Salary Range: $51,638.00- $95,530.30
The salary offered for this position is expected to be approximately $60,000
