TPT (Teachers Pay Teachers) is the world’s largest marketplace for innovative educational content created by and for educators and is used by 85% of K-12 teachers in the US. We have big plans for expanding this immensely popular platform, and are looking for a Marketing Associate to help drive this growth. 

In this role, you will play an essential part in scaling the content and product marketing program at TPT. You’ll help create a broad range of materials that engage and build trust with our key audiences: educators, sellers, and school administrators. We’re looking for someone who is a strong writer and communicator as well as creative, strategic, organized, proactive, and passionate about TPT’s mission to help teachers teach at their best.

This is a full-time remote position for candidates in the United States. #LI-REMOTE

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Write engaging content for educator-focused campaigns, Seller and educator communications, and always-on marketing programs
  • Develop content that strengthens brand credibility, including but not limited to: emails, landing pages, blog posts, thought leadership, and more
  • Devise creative content strategies to deepen engagement with existing users and to creatively reach new customers, inspiring them to shop on TPT
  • Work with colleagues from various teams, including product managers and graphic designers, to coordinate and implement projects from start to finish
  • Monitor brand mentions and sentiment across social channels, escalating issues where needed and proactively engaging where appropriate
  • Partner with the Customer Support and Seller Community teams to troubleshoot and resolve sensitive customer issues, ensuring brand integrity and customer trust
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • A BA/BS degree and 2-4 years of marketing and/or communications experience in a professional environment
  • An exceptional writer who knows how to make every word count and who can adjust for tone based on audience and format. You can switch easily from writing messaging about a new product feature, to crafting an impactful marketing email to developing an engaging data report
  • Strong knowledge of content marketing strategies and best practices, include SEO and email engagement
  • A team player who has excellent interpersonal skills and can work effectively with people at all levels
  • A self starter who is detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, can manage projects from start to finish and juggle multiple deadlines
  • A knowledge of — or an interest in — education and edtech and can learn about the industry quickly  
  • Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides; WordPress; and Sprout Social
