THE OPPORTUNITY:

To measure the impact of the brands’ narratives and visual representations based on established personas and identified company metrics. 

The Market Research Analyst collaborates closely with the marketing team to identify the long-term value of the ActBlue brands, identify established and emerging industry and marketing trends, maintain a pulse on shifts in audience behaviors and appetites, and provide informed Marketing-performance updates and recommendations to the organization. The Market Research Analyst will report and support the Market Research Director in data visualization and reporting. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Measure and report campaign, media (print, social, website, events, etc), messaging, and creative effectiveness for each marketing initiative.
  • Support market research objectives based on key challenges, helping with research study design, execution, and reporting.
  • Drive day-to-day analysis and reporting for a long-term brand tracker to quantify the impact of ActBlue marketing efforts over time.
  • Partner with creative, growth, brand, and/or strategic marketing teams to optimize ads, report on in-market performance, and deliver actionable insights
  • Query and gather data across multiple platforms, including HubSpot, Google Analytics, social listening, and others, to build stories and reports.
  • Provide ad hoc and regular analysis and reporting to support the ActBlue organization in understanding the category, competitors, and the ActBlue brand. 
  • Monitor marketing activities in the non-profit, fundraising, political technology, and fintech industries to inform on shifts in trends, positioning, and consumer sentiment. 
  • Collaborate with ActBlue Outreach and ActBlue Technical Services Data and Research departments to measure and assess demographic, geographic, behavioral, psychographic, and attitudinal changes across ActBlue personas. 
  • Build actionable and data-visualized reports that answer key business questions and educate colleagues on best practices in market research.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, finance, statistics, economics, psychology, marketing, or computer science, and 2-4 years of experience manipulating, analyzing, and reporting on a wide variety of data sets.
  • Strong quantitative analytics skills with Excel (including graphs and pivot tables), SQL, and data visualization tools required; can transform complex data sets into simple visuals and dashboards.
  • Experience in statistical and predictive modeling, regression analysis, and data mining.
  • Experience managing third-party research vendors.
  • Experience supporting brand marketing initiatives with quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Intermediate knowledge of marketing research providers in the industry.
  • Experience with CRM-based analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and analysis both verbally and in writing to a non-technical audience.

This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. Travel may be required on a limited basis to attend all-staff and departmental retreats (1-2 times per year). Additional travel may be required for select positions.

Work Location: This is a full-time, remote, salaried position.
Work Schedule: Our roles predominantly require availability during established business hours (Mon-Fri) and during critical election season times, may work nontraditional hours as needed.
Travel Requirements: Travel may be required on a limited basis to attend all-staff and departmental retreats (1-2 times per year). Additional travel may be required for select positions.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.


Salary Range Details:

Salary Range: $66,950 - $78,800 - $90,600

ActBlue is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization. Final salary offers will take into account factors such as candidate experience, interview performance and current team salary parity.
