Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Commercial payer account plans to gain, maintain and expand coverage for new and existing PDx products. Ensure appropriate medical coverage policy development for products.
- Actively engage with payers to educate about GEHC’s growing pipeline via PIE approved resources.
- Provide expert input with internal partners to address access related opportunities and challenges within defined geography. contracting, and field operations.
- Monitor and be expert in regional MAC CMS policy.
- Conduct financial analyses, develop business plans and customer engagement plans of action.
- Develop and execute plans to support Provider reimbursement for new and existing PDx products.
- Educate essential medical policy decision makers on disease state, burden of illness, prevalence, and unmet need for near term potential product launches through use of approved Preapproval Information Exchange (PIE) materials
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, decision makers and potential influencers at assigned health insurance plan provider(s) and other strategic payer accounts, including the C suite level, to create and communicate the value of our products.
- Collaborate with Evidence Generation/HEOR and Medical Affairs to deliver relevant value proposition presentations, clinical evidence, tools and models to Payers and Providers.
- Partner with US Advocacy and Medical Affairs to identify and develop partnerships with regional Patient Advocacy Groups, Physician Key Opinion Leaders and Medical Society advocates to support patient access to PDx Products.
- Understand and regularly monitor changes to national and regional medical policy and coverage related to the PDx portfolio.
- Partner with Field Commercial team to provide required customer solutions to access and reimbursement questions and needs. Conduct follow up as needed with accounts or customers.
- Develop presentations for site visits, trainings, client virtual presentations, and other meetings as appropriate. Conduct presentations to small and large groups in various settings and often work face to face with providers’ office staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in US HealthCare, medical device, or pharmaceutical sector.
- Minimum of 7 years Direct experience in US market access with deep knowledge of reimbursement and payment mechanisms including medical coding, claims and billing processes.
- Ability to establish close collaboration with strategic partners and peers and lead collaborative initiatives.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to “think on feet” and suggest alternatives and solutions.
- Ability to travel occasionally to connect with payers, customers, and field commercial teams - less than 25%.
- Strong cross-functional project management, organizational and analytical skills.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in achieving positive medical coverage policies within US payers.
- In-depth knowledge of managed care and evolving payer landscape
- Established relationships with assigned accounts.
- Experience in radiopharmaceuticals, imaging, or diagnostics.
- Product launch experience
