Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:
- Ensure daily Pre-Shift inspections and frequency checks are completed accurately and conduct planned inspection audits on each shift.
- Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
- Conduct Pre-Shift meetings with the team to communicate safety and/or quality issues and production targets.
- Fills in for Team Members that need to temporarily leave the line (emergency, bathroom break, etc.)
- Complete all necessary documentation including hourly data collection with downtime reasons and daily performance graphing.
- Coordinate and assign job responsibility for team members on a daily basis.
- Maintain open communication and provide continued support to other departments regarding any changes, problems, or special projects. Encourages open communications; confronts difficult situations; maintains objectivity; keeps emotions under control; uses negotiation skills to resolve conflicts.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the supervisor regarding team member performance and training needs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED required
WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:
- Valid driver's license. Current forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hired. Documented proof of training every three years for maintenance of forklift/truck license must be maintained.
- Prior SAP experience preferred
