ABOUT THE TEAM

The Manufacturing Security Program team is a critical component of Anduril's overall security posture, specifically tailored to the complex demands of our large-scale manufacturing sites. Our approach differs significantly from other security operations, requiring a specialized team of professionals with unique, on-the-ground expertise. Recognizing the distinct security challenges of high-production industrial environments, our specialized team brings unique expertise in areas such as advanced tech integrations, specialized risk mitigation and tailored security strategies needed to safeguard our people, assets & intellectual property, thereby enabling uninterrupted production vital for national security and innovation.

ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Security Operations Manager to lead and manage the daily execution of our comprehensive security operations across our large-scale manufacturing facility near Columbus, OH. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Manufacturing Security, this role is pivotal in ensuring the effective implementation of tailored security strategies & addressing the unique risks and operational complexities inherent in the construction and management of this eventual high-production industrial site. The Manufacturing Security Ops Manager will be instrumental in overseeing the day-to-day activities of security personnel, managing security systems, and ensuring the swift and efficient response to security incidents, thereby contributing to the overall security framework that scales at speed and can be implemented at new sites quickly.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Operational Oversight & Management: Directly manage and supervise daily security operations at the manufacturing site, ensuring consistent application of security policies and procedures. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security specialist, supervisors, and contracted guard forces.
  • Incident Response & Management: Oversee the immediate response to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies. Conduct preliminary investigations, document findings, and ensure timely escalation to appropriate parties. Implement and refine incident response protocols to minimize impact and downtime.
  • Security Technology & Systems Management: Ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all physical security technologies, including CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and alarm systems. Manage alarm monitoring and response protocols, in conjunction with the on-premise Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Policy and Procedure Buildout: Develop, implement, and enforce physical security policies, procedures, and post orders aligned with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Access Control & Perimeter Security Enforcement: Implement and enforce robust access control procedures for personnel, vehicles, and materials entering and exiting manufacturing facilities. Oversee parking management programs and ensure adherence to traffic and pedestrian flow protocols.
  • Guard Force Management & Performance: Manage the performance of internal security staff and contracted guard forces, including scheduling, training verification, performance evaluations, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and operational standards.
  • Transportation Security Execution: Support the implementation and enforcement of security protocols for the transportation of sensitive materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring supply chain integrity from an operational perspective.
  • SOC Integration & Collaboration: Work closely with the Strategic Security Services team and on-premise SOC personnel to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing-specific security monitoring, threat intelligence, and incident reporting. Act as a key point of contact for operational security matters.
  • Compliance & Auditing Execution: Ensure day-to-day adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local security regulations, industry best practices, and Anduril's internal security policies. Support the execution of regular security audits and inspections by providing operational data and facilitating access.
  • Emergency Incident Response: Lead incident response, investigations, and after-action reviews for security events and security policy violations.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate closely with site leadership, operations management, Facilities, HR, EHS, and other internal departments on a daily basis to address immediate security concerns and integrate security into operational workflows.
  • Resource Management: Assist in managing operational security resources, including equipment, supplies, and personnel, to ensure effective and cost-efficient security coverage.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ASIS certifications) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in security operations management, with a significant focus on large-scale manufacturing, industrial, or complex operational environments.
  • Proven experience managing and leading security teams, including direct supervision of security officers and/or contracted guard forces.
  • Hands-on experience with the operation and monitoring of security technologies such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident response, investigation, and reporting within an operational context.
  • Strong understanding of physical security principles and best practices relevant to industrial facilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively direct and motivate operational teams.
  • Proven ability to apply critical thinking and sound judgement to asses risk, analyze complex situations, and make timely, effective decisions a fast-paced operation environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting operational demands.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights/weekends/holidays) , including on-call support for critical incidents.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in defense manufacturing or a related high-security industry.
  • Familiarity with Security Operations Center (SOC) workflows and reporting mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness and response protocols for industrial sites. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their intersection with security.
US Salary Range
$99,000$131,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
