As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will improve the processes, tools, and work methods used to manufacture and test Flowserve products. You will partner with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

This role supports manufacturing operations by developing practical solutions for the shop floor, including work instructions, tooling, fixtures, process layouts, and production routings. Your work will help ensure manufacturing processes meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing process improvements that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
  • Create and maintain shop-floor work instructions, manufacturing routings, test instructions, checklists, and supporting documentation.
  • Review customer requirements, inspection and test plans, and engineering documentation to ensure manufacturing processes meet applicable requirements.
  • Investigate and disposition nonconformance reports in collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and intermediate manufacturing drawings that support machining, assembly, welding, testing, and material handling activities.
  • Support hydrostatic testing and pump or rotating-element performance testing by coordinating required materials, tooling, and process documentation.
  • Evaluate production flow, layouts, throughput, and process performance to identify and implement improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including on-time delivery, utilization, efficiency, and quality metrics, and support corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes meet applicable safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
  • Partner with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to resolve shop-floor issues and improve manufacturing readiness.
  • Support continuous-improvement activities that reduce errors, standardize work, and improve operational performance.

Required Qualifications
  • Engineering degree or technologist diploma from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, testing, machining, or similar industrial environment.
  • Experience using 3D modeling or design software, such as SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, safety rules, operating instructions, and technical procedures.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, layouts, throughput, assembly, and testing.
  • Experience using SAP, ERP, or a similar manufacturing planning system.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with production, quality, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting nuclear pump manufacturing or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ANSI N45.2, 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, or similar quality program requirements.
  • Experience using product lifecycle management systems, including Windchill, Nexus, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, pumping systems, hydrostatic testing, or performance testing.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and using inspection tools such as micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, optical comparators, and profilometers.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement certification or practical experience.
  • Experience designing fixtures, tooling, or production support equipment for machining, welding, assembly, or testing.
