Managing Director, ODG

We are looking for a Managing Director, Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) with a focus on modernizing and expanding its impact across Workers’ Compensation, Disability, and Auto Injury markets. This opportunity will define the future of a critical portfolio within MCG, repositioning ODG as the most innovative and comprehensive solution for managing injury and disability claims. 

In this position you will drive the strategic direction and commercial performance of the business, with end-to-end accountability across product positioning, market strategy, and cross-functional execution. The ideal leader for this role has a deep knowledge of the claims and insurance ecosystem, strong operational and market instincts, and the ability to unify teams around a bold, cohesive vision. 

You will: 

Own the Strategy and Growth of the ODG Business 

  • Lead and scale the ODG portfolio across Workers’ Comp, Disability, and Auto verticals. Set growth targets and oversee execution across sales, product, partnerships, and marketing. 

Reposition ODG in the Market 

  • Define and lead brand, product, and messaging strategies that position ODG as a modern, differentiated solution for claims organizations, TPAs, carriers, employers, and government entities. 

Deliver Business and Customer Outcomes 

  • Drive financial performance, adoption, and customer satisfaction metrics. 
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for market expansion, product enhancement, and customer retention. 

Lead Cross-Functional Alignment 

  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership and internal stakeholders to prioritize strategic initiatives and ensure unified delivery across functions. 

Adapt to Market Dynamics 

  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes, competitive trends, and client needs to keep the ODG business responsive, differentiated, and positioned for long-term leadership. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Workers’ Compensation, Disability, Auto Injury, or related markets. 
  • Demonstrated success in business unit leadership, product strategy, or commercial execution in a B2B or SaaS environment. 
  • Strong familiarity with claims operations, industry guidelines, payer/provider workflows, and regulatory frameworks. 
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred 

Preferred  

  • Experience repositioning or modernizing mature product portfolios in evolving markets 
  • Background in digital health, medical management, or claims analytics. 
  • Understanding of utilization review, provider networks, and state-level regulatory environments related to disability and injury claims. 
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to build business cases for new product and market opportunities. 

Pay Range:  National $178,000 - $249,270, Seattle $188,730 - $264,260 

Other compensation: Bonus Eligible 

This is a remote position and requires travel approximately 30% of the time. Travel may include conferences, client meetings, or internal team events. All travel expenses are covered in accordance with company policy. 

The ideal candidate should be comfortable balancing the independence of remote work with the collaborative opportunities offered by periodic in-person engagements.
