Managing Director, Northern Latin America
We are seeking a Managing Director to lead our regional practice covering the Andean region with a focus on Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Central America, and the Caribbean. The Managing Director will serve as a lead advisor to our clients in all aspects of public policy and government relations including anticipating political and economic shifts, manage trade policy and regulatory changes, liaise with US government officials and capitalize on market opportunities in these diverse and dynamic geographies. This individual will be responsible for both high-level client servicing as well as business development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory: Provide actionable, senior-level counsel to C-suite executives on political, economic, and social trends across the Northern Latin American corridor.
Portfolio Management: Oversee client engagements, ensuring the highest quality of deliverables, from deep-dive political risk assessments to government relations strategies.
Senior Level Connectivity: Candidates must be able to leverage an existing high-level network of contacts within regional governments, multilateral organizations, and the private sector.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new client opportunities; lead the drafting of proposals and represent the firm at pitches, industry forums and other public speaking opportunities.
Team Leadership: Support the broader Latin America team with regional clients as well as manage associates.

Qualifications
Experience: 15+ years of experience in international affairs, government service, or strategic consulting.
Leadership: Ability to manage client engagements in politically sensitive environments.
Policy Analysis: Provide expert policy analysis, navigate complex regulatory environments, provide strategic positioning to clients amid uncertain political, economic and trade dynamics tensions
Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the political economy of countries such as Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Panama, Central American markets and, to an extent, the Caribbean.
Presence: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex geopolitical issues into concise business-oriented insights.
Language & Education: Fluency in English and Spanish is required; proficiency in Portuguese is a significant plus. Advanced degree (M.A. or higher) in International Relations, MBA, JD, or a related field.
Work Environment
Location: Based in Washington, DC (preferred), with frequent travel to the region.
