We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Managing Director of Learning and Development to drive the execution of our organization’s learning strategy. This leader will oversee the entire Learning and Development (L&D) function, ensuring that our team members have access to personalized development opportunities that align with their career goals and the evolving needs of our clients. This role is pivotal in fostering a skills-based culture that celebrates curiosity, continuous learning, and innovation.

The Managing Director of L&D will be responsible for building and reskilling our workforce. They will collaborate closely with service, geography, and industry leaders across the organization to ensure that learning initiatives are aligned with strategic objectives.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Managing Director of L&D role:

  • Strategic Leadership & Execution:
    • Lead and execute the L&D vision, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
    • Develop and implement learning programs that foster personalized development paths and career growth for every team member.
    • Champion a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and adaptability within the organization.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and manage the L&D team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for L&D team members.
  • Learning Strategy & Design:
    • Create and implement blended learning solutions that combine in-person workshops with digital resources for reinforcement.
    • Leverage our learning technology stack to sustain learning momentum and ensure accessibility across a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Skill Development & Reskilling:
    • Identify and address skill gaps, particularly in digital skills, industry knowledge, technical expertise, and client service, through targeted learning initiatives.
    • Drive career development and reskilling efforts to ensure the workforce is prepared for future technological advancements and industry changes.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure the L&D strategy supports business goals and aligns with the firm’s needs.
    • Actively engage with service and industry leaders to tailor learning initiatives that reflect current and future business requirements.
  • Leadership & Culture Building:
    • Model behaviors of a modern learning organization, with senior leaders actively participating in learning experiences.
    • Celebrate success stories and create a culture of openness, humility, and continuous improvement.

What you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a similarly related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive growth and of mentoring a team in an L&D or organizational development capacity.
  • Experience in identifying and addressing skills gaps.
  • Proven experience in leading and executing L&D strategies, preferably in a complex, dynamic environment.
  • A Master’s degree and relevant verifications (e.g. CPLP, SHRM, etc) are preferred.

The wage range for this position is: $250,000 - 350,000.

Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
