NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Manager, YouTube Strategy & Programming based in our Concord, North Carolina office.

This person is responsible for the strategic development, day-to-day management, and growth of NASCAR’s presence on YouTube. The Manager oversees content programming, audience engagement, and performance analytics, ensuring NASCAR’s YouTube channels are optimized for growth, fan engagement, and revenue generation.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the programming, scheduling, and execution of content across NASCAR’s YouTube channels, ensuring alignment with broader digital and social media strategies.
  • Develop and execute a YouTube content strategy that enhances engagement, increases subscribers, and maximizes video performance through best practices in SEO, metadata, and thumbnails.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Social, Production, and Editorial, to produce compelling video content tailored for YouTube.
  • Identify and implement content strategies that capitalize on trending topics, race highlights, driver narratives, and fan-favorite moments.
  • Collaborate with YouTube platform representatives to leverage emerging features, optimize monetization strategies, and stay ahead of algorithm changes.
  • Analyze YouTube performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to refine content strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the development of platform-specific content franchises and series that resonate with NASCAR’s audience and expand reach to new demographics.
  • Manage partnerships with teams, drivers, and sponsors to amplify their presence on NASCAR’s YouTube channels.
  • Actively monitor YouTube trends and competitor strategies, ensuring NASCAR remains an industry leader in digital video content.
  • Represent and advocate for NASCAR’s YouTube strategy in cross-functional meetings and external collaborations.
  • Assist with live-streaming initiatives, including race broadcasts, press conferences, and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Infuse the NASCAR Digital Production team with fresh ideas and innovative approaches to YouTube content creation and engagement.
  • Travel: 5-10% including weekends
  • Directly supervises assigned staff. 
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required plus a minimum of five years current experience in content strategy, digital media, and/or video production; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, and video performance metrics.
  • Basic proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, After Effects) is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Able to work a non-traditional schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Expertise in social platform analytics, SEO, and monetization strategies.
  • Experience in digital content marketing, storytelling, and community engagement.
  • Passion for motorsports and an understanding of NASCAR’s fan base and digital ecosystem
